A slab of tropical water translated into mineral form.

CHUNK OF TURQUOISE
is a monolithic functional sculpture that explores the tension between massive geological form and fluid color. Fractured mineral layers reveal a saturated turquoise interior within a dark mineral matrix, creating a deep-water gradient that shifts between aqua, teal, and deep blue as light moves across the surface.

Rather than a surface finish, the color is integrated into the material matrix—a geological strata that allows tonal variations to emerge from within the stone. Hand-cast as a singular, non-repeatable artifact.
